Just to say thank you

Temporarily the whole card may be unavailable - if this is the case click here to use the front of card image

After receiving lots of wonderful gifts over the Christmas period you may wish to send thank you cards so I have created some new designs that can be used just for this:
The second design is just slightly different
The inside of both cards is the same design:

The other design incorporates the phrase Thank you in many different languages which I hope are correct!
With the inside simply saying Thank you in English.

Christmas Baubles

I've added a couple more designs to my CreateToday portfolio.

I've based these on another popular Christmas image the Christmas bauble.
The first is a complete card.
Click here to use and add greetings to this card.

My second design is based on the one above but in this one you can add your own images into the grey placeholders
Click here http://www.mydoodle.com/i/snowman-baubles/52452to access and customise this card,
You could add your own Christmas motifs or even add faces of yourself, your friends or your children.
Children would loved to see themselves featured on a card wouldn't they?

Help the Heroes

Each year Createtoday sponsor a charity and this year the chosen charity is Help the Heroes.

Createtoday asked for designs on a Christmas theme to be submitted to include in a charity collection. The profits from any product either card or wall art featured in this collection will be given to the Help the Heroes charity.

I was lucky enough to have the design that I submitted chosen for addition to the collection.

Christmas Robin

Here's my latest Christmas card design. The photo used was taken in our garden where we have quite a few robin visitors although if two turn up at once there is usually trouble!

The robin loves pecking at the half coconut filled with a fat mixture.
You can add a Greeting to the front and add a message inside.

Christmas Pointsetta

Over the Christmas period you won't fail to see Pointsettas on sale in garden centres and supermarkets. Due to their Christmassy look they are very popular houseplants at this time of year.

The flowers are the tiny cluster in the centre of the bright red bracts. Pointsettas will suffer if transported on very cold days so make sure that the whole plant is hidden in a plastic bag during your journey home.

Although you can treat pointsettas as perennials, it is a difficult process to get them to produce the red bracts in subsequent years so most plants are treated as annuals.

Pointsettas are often featured on Christmas cards. If you wish to use the image below click on the Create button. You may also like to use the image as a piece of Christmas wall art.

How to customise a ready made greetings card

This short video may help show how you can customise any of the ready designed cards available from my website. I'm afraid the quality or lack of it is down to YouTube but I hope it's good enough to give you some idea!

Snowdrop card.

I know that snowdrops are hardly a Christmas flower but a photo of snowdrops shrouded in snow make a lovely subject for a Christmas or New Year's card. It just so uplifting to look forward to the first snowdrop when we are in the depth of winter

Christmas tree designs.

Both of these images were based on photographs taken when I used to work at Woolley hall in Wakefield.

The first is a view of the front of the main house with the addition of some artistic licence.
To view the complete Christmas card click here

Each year at Christmas time a large Christmas tree was installed at the foot of the main staircase in the main lounge area. The following image was based on a photograph of the tree taken in 2003.

Below is the original photograph - not really up to current days standards as cameras have developed since then and are more able to deal with the challenging light conditions.

Christmas isn't just for robins

Robins aren't the only birds that are around during winter. These photos show just some of the birds that visit our bird table, feeders and bird baths through winter. Supplying a variety of food types in different types of feeders and always ensuring a plentiful supply of water will encourage a range of birds to become regular visitors.

Why not feature one of these birds in your Christmas cards or even use the images to create a personal card for some other type of occasion.

Wintry scenes

These wintry scenes were taken from the car as we  drove along the M1 motorway between Wakefield and Leeds. The land alongside the motorway on this stretch is mainly agricultural. Cutting through the rhubarb triangle, during the growing season crops of rhubarb can be seen in the fields. The long low windowless buildings are rhubarb forcing shed.

Any one of these images would make an ideal Christmas card. To try creating your own personalised card using any of these images - click ion the Create button beneath your chosen image.

Hoar Frost

When I was working, my journey to work involved driving down a few country lanes. I loved watching the changes as the seasons moved along. On one particular morning, in February 2008, I just couldn't resist stopping the car to take these photos. There had been a hoar frost and the trees looked beautiful. The location was Intake Lane near Woolley in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.

Even though the photos were taken in February they created a 'Christmassy' feel and so I used the images to create a couple of Christmas cards.

Both cards can be personalised

Robins

These are just two of my images that are available for use in products from CreateToday. Everyone loves robins so they are ideal subjects to use when making your own personal Christmas cards. Click on an image to go straight to an image on their website where you can use it for your own creations. We regularly have robins visit our bird table and they seem only too willing to pose for photographs. This year we also had longs of young robins which we enjoyed watching gradually developing their adult red breasts.
